Grade
12 certificate plus Secretarial Diploma with at least three years experience in an academic department/directorate
·
At least 5 years experience in general office
administration and secretarial support
·
Above average secretarial skills.
·
Word processing/ Computer literacy.
·
Proficiency in South African Languages.
·
Ability to work under pressure, individually
and as part of a team.
·
Maintain confidentiality and exercise
discretion.
·
Excellent written and oral communication
skills in English
Duties
·
Handling of all secretarial (including the
electronic diary) and administrative duties including word processing.
·
Compiling, processing of data and drawing up
of annual report.
·
Liaison at a high level with internal and
external stakeholders.
·
Recording of proceedings, workshops and
minute taking at meetings.
·
Formulation of letters, reports and
documents.
·
Monitoring the budget and cost effectiveness
of the office.
·
Query handling and resolution.
Recommendations:
·
General knowledge of Unisa
policies and procedures.
·
Proficiency in Afrikaans to enable assistance
to students who study in this language of tuition.
Assumption
of duty: As soon as possible.
Salary: Remuneration
is commensurate with the seniority of the position

African equivalent of the qualification. These qualifications are evaluated by
SAQA. The
