CRAFT BINDER

(Muckleneuk Campus)

The incumbent will be responsible for processing, finishing and/orchecking (by hand or mechanically) printing work in the binders shop that has to prepare final product, ready for delivery.

                  

Requirements

·         TTIII plus National Trade Certificate in Craft Binding

·         A minimum of 3 years experience in Craft Binding

·         Extensive knowledge of activities in a Binding environment

·         Good manual and numerical skills

·         Communication skills (written and verbal)

·         Ability to:

ü  make sound judgments, show initiative and drive

ü  detect fault

ü  work extended hours when required

 

Duties

·            Binding of journals, periodicals and restoration of books

·            Perform administrative tasks

·            Health and safety

·            Training and cross-over training of staff on correct use of equipment and systems

 

Assumption of duty      : As soon as possible.

Salary                          : Remuneration is commensurate with the seniority of the position
