The purpose of the job is to ensure that competent permanent
employees are appointed to support the University in achieving its strategic
objectives. This will entail rendering a complete Recruitment and Selection
service in terms of permanent staff, both full-time and part-time.
Requirements
·
A three (3) year Degree/Diploma
in Human Resource Management with three (3) years’ full-time experience in a
Human Resource environment within a large organisation of which at least one
(1) year should have been acquired in the Recruitment and Selection of
permanent appointments OR
Grade 12 with seven (7) years’ full-time experience in a Human Resource
environment within a large organization of which at least two (2) years should
have been acquired in the Recruitment and Selection of permanent appointments

Experience in coordinating
of Recruitment and Selection processes with respect to the filling of a vacancy
(eg advertisements, pre-screening, shortlisting and
selection committee processes)

Computer literacy (MS
Office Suite)
·
Ability to interpret
and apply HR-related legislation, policies, procedures and best practice
·
Communication skills
(verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
·
Ability to maintain
confidentiality, work under pressure and meet deadlines as well as the
following critical core competencies:
ü Planning and co-ordination
ü Quality assurance and report writing skills
ü Good organisational, administrative and time management skills
ü Must have initiative, integrity, work independently and as part of a
team
ü Be professional, proactive, service-oriented and assertive
