HR ADVISOR

(Ref: HR/HRAdv/P7/Jun2011/jl-2)

 

The purpose of the position is to coordinate Human Resources in Colleges, with emphasis on the effective and consistent implementation of all HR policies, procedures, practices, conditions of service and other legislative guidelines in order to ensure effective service delivery.

 

Requirements:

·         Ability to work under pressure

·         Confidentiality and display integrity at all times

·         Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)

·         Working knowledge of a Human Resource Management Information System (e.g Oracle)

·         Dedication to meeting expectations and requirements of the internal customer

·         Ability to interpret HR policies, practices and procedures

 

Recommendations:

 

Duties

§  Maintain personnel files

§  Handle correspondence and all HR related enquiries from staff

§  Compile memos, letters and appointment contracts

§  Monitor leave records and compile relevant reports

§  Provide general first-line HR advice

 

Assumption of duty:     As soon as possible

Salary:                         Remuneration is commensurate with the seniority of the position
